| I tried to blog... at least I tried... | | |
| I am working some long hours today and I am happy about it. Isn't it interesting how perspective changes everything? I see my co-workers sometimes getting upset by what seems to be meaningless things to me, but for them they are a major stress factor.
Why is my perspective different? One of the reasons is because I have just started to work here a month and half ago. I still remember how the world of someone looking for a job looks like. I still remember the frustration of sending applications hoping but yet knowing that they will come back with a negative response. I remember...
Do you remember? What are you thankful for because you remember...?
| We are going through a fase of lots of exciting changes in our journey here in Düsseldorf. Something very important for us is going to happen on Wednesday at 11:00 am cetral european time. We are going to present an idea to a group of business men who will decide about a contract that will help us post a lot of threads for the Kingdom and be financed in the process. Please remember us during that time!
Are we afraid of what may happen if we continue this road? Yes. Are we paralized by that fear? NO! Thanks for all your comments on my last post, it helped me reframe my question.
Here is another one for today: "How do you know the diference between being wise as you choose the right battles and being paralized by fear?"
| Today I had a great time with my boys. We had a guy's day out. We went to a swimming pool and had a lot of fun! Something happened that got me thinking:
"I convinced the boys to go with me to a water slide. We decided to slide together, Tony in front, me in the middle and Adrian right behind. It was one of those dark tunnel slides, since they were a little afraid, I decided to start slow, so we would not be too fast at the end. I let their fear determine the speed. The problem is that we were so slow that we got stuck! We didn't move!!! A than they were really afraid!"
Well we made it through... but it got me thinking: Sometimes, we have to help those who are afraid of the unknown, not by slowing down but by speeding up!
My question for today: Should those who are afraid of change, be in charge of leading movements?
| Exciting things happening. After "do Sul" played here in Düsseldorf, all kinds of doors opened for us. Several new relationships started in the preparation process, during the shows and after. The opportunities are just amazing for us, this can even lead to Birger transitioning from his job into full time work for Mosaic Düsseldorf. Now we are facing the challenge of risking a dangerous road or choosing safety. Isn't it the chalenge we all face again and again? What do you think? | | |
